If you have decided to become certified as Oracle Database Developer then you need to follow these set of steps to fulfill the eligibility criteria for Oracle Database Developer Certification.

Each step makes you eligible for the next one. In order to jump to step 1, you need to have cleared any one of the exams that I have already mentioned in the previous blog on the eligibility criteria for Oracle Database Certification.

Step 1 – Become Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate

Passing one of the initially mentioned exams makes you eligible for getting Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate Certification. You have to clear the Oracle Database 11g Program with PL/SQL 1Z0-144 in order to become Oracle Certified Associate in database development. This is just the pre-requisites of the certification. Step 2 – Become Oracle Advanced PL/SQL Developer Certified Professional

Getting your Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate certification makes you eligible for Oracle certified professional exam. You have to clear Oracle Database: Advanced PL/SQL 1Z0-148 exam to earn your Oracle Advanced PL/SQL Developer Certified Professional certification & finally become an Oracle certified professional in the database development field.

This is the eligibility criteria for Oracle Database Developer Certification. If you find it a tad bit extensive then do not worry. The basic thing that you need to know is that in order to pursue your dreams of becoming a database professional certified by Oracle you just have to be a keen learner.
